Louisville's Waterfront Renaissance – Quimby's Cruising Guide

Louisville's Waterfront Renaissance

A free in-water boat show and ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighted the grand opening of RiverPark Place Marina — anchor of the upscale RiverPark Place community near downtown Louisville.

Billed as the Ohio River’s largest, most state-of-the-art marina, RiverPark Place Marina boasts 150 slips measuring 40, 55 and 70 feet. The floating docks are made of durable Trex decking for a natural look and comfortable feel. They’re also handicap accessible, and water, electricity and cable are available at every slip.

Additional amenities include a pump station, laundry services, ice machine, showers and restrooms. Gated docks are an added security feature. The marina offers spectacular views, as well as immediate access to RiverPark Place and its lofts, condos, shopping and restaurants.

The recent grand opening also marked the completion of RiverPark Place’s new 3,500-foot riverfront walkway, an extension of the Louisville Waterfront Park public promenade between Beargrass Creek and the existing Waterfront Park.
