Speaking of, there’s a transom walk-through to allow passenger to move easily from the swim platform and sun deck to the cockpit. A concealed head compartment will come in handy on longer day trips, especially considering the 13-person capacity.
The 255 has a number of seating areas, including in the bow (deep, secure lounges) and in the cockpit (bucket seats, aft-facing jump seats and transom benches). The three-piece integrated windshield looks like the glass display on your smartphone. Other stylish-yet-functional features include a sports car-inspired helm, recessed cup holders and no shortage of coaming pads in contrasting colors.
Like every Scarab in the four-boat lineup, the 255 is available in three versions: standard, HO and HO Impulse (pictured). Each one includes a growing list of bells and whistles, including color-matched cockpit and hull graphics, stainless-steel hardware, upgraded sound system, foldable wakeboard tower and more.
Scarab reports that the 255 will be available for purchase in late spring/early summer — and that it’s currently the largest jet boat in the industry. Sometimes, bigger just really is better.
