Larson Launches a Fishboat Trifecta

Larson Boats of Little Fall, Minn., has announced the introduction of three distinct models based on a new 20-foot FX fishing platform for 2013. “The retail success of the 17- and 18-foot FX models encouraged us to expand the line with larger, purpose-built boats for the serious fisherman,” said Al Kuebelbeck, president of Larson Boat Group.

The new FX 2020 comes in three tournament-ready layouts: an open tiller (the FX 2020 TL), a high-performance side-console (the FX 2020 SC) and a roomy dual console (the FX 2020 DC). Each model is also available with an optional sport package.

Professional angler Tony Capra called the FX 2020 series “the best multi-species fishing boat on the market today” and “the next generation of performance and reliability.”

“The seating and hull do an incredible job of suppressing waves, and the VEC Technology gives the FX 2020 one of the nicest rides I have ever experienced,” said Chris Kudek, National Fishing Hall of Fame inductee.

The Larson FX fishing series was introduced at the 2012 Larson Dealer Meeting last September. “All the models in the FX series offer comfort, performance and optimal fishing features in a tournament-caliber fiberglass boat,” Kuebelbeck said. “Our customers responded well, so we’ve expanded the line to offer the right boat to fit each family.”
