Freedom Boat Club, one of the largest boat clubs in the U.S. with 75 locations in 16 states, has opened its newest operation at Osage Beach on the Lake of the Ozarks. The location will be based at the Bridgeview Marina and is Freedom’s first location in Missouri.
“We are very excited about adding Lake of the Ozarks to our network,” said John Giglio, Freedom Boat Club CEO, in a news release. “It is a large, beautiful lake that is wildly popular with Missouri boaters and people across the region. It gives members at all our 75 clubs an opportunity to visit a great new location and have access to a very special waterway.”
Freedom Boat Club members not only have a choice of more than 700 well-maintained, late-model boats at 75 locations but avoid the typical frustrations associated with boat ownership: maintenance, repair, cleaning, slip rental, storage, insurance, winterization costs and trailering issues.
“I am thrilled to bring Freedom Boat Club to Lake of the Ozarks,” Gery Baar, owner of the new location, was reported as saying in the News-Leader in Springfield, Mo.
“I have enjoyed this lake for years and jumped at the chance to open the Freedom Boat Club franchise here.
“I think it is going to be positive for everyone involved with our local marine industry.
“Members of our local club will have access to boats and marinas all across Florida, and 15 other states. And having Freedom Boat Club operating here will certainly attract members from other parts of the country to visit.”
Baar also sees current boat owners adding an FBC membership for their second boat.
“It’s a very convenient and economical way for cruiser owners to have a smaller, faster boat available when they desire one.”
Baar will begin operations with four new 2014 boats, including a 26-foot bowrider, a 21-foot bowrider with wakeboard tower, a 24-foot deck boat with wakeboard tower and a 25-foot triple-toon.
